Several kinds of SNHGs, including SNHG1, SNHG3, SNHG6, SNHG7, SNHG8, SNHG12, SNHG13, SNHG14, SNHG15, SNHG16, SNHG17, NHG20, and SNHG22, are overexpressed in the early stage of ovarian cancer, and they promote the occurrence and development of ovarian cancer by influencing protein methylation, epithelial‒mesenchymal transition (EMT) and cell cycle arrest as well as promoting angiogenesis (Figure 2). The gene discussed is SNHG12; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
