Compared with participants in the lowest AIP quartile, those in the second, third, and fourth quartiles showed an increased stroke risk of 55% (OR = 1.55, 95% CI [1.17, 2.05], p = 0.002), 86% (OR = 1.86, 95% CI [1.42, 2.44], p < 0.0001), and 106% (OR = 2.06, 95% CI [1.58, 2.69], p < 0.0001), respectively.
