AMH and polycystic ovary syndrome: Recently, anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH), a member of the transforming growth factor-β superfamily, which is secreted by growing ovarian antral follicles, has emerged as a biomarker to predict ovarian aging and reproductive lifespan (Sowers et al., 2008; van Disseldorp et al., 2008; Dólleman et al., 2013; Iino et al., 2013; Depmann et al., 2016; Minooee et al., 2018) as well as a diagnostic criterion (Deswal et al., 2020) for PCOS.
