Three articles[3,28,58] evaluated the relationship betweenNT-proBNP and infections, from which only the study by Polineni etal.[3](2018), with a sample of 1,544 patients divided into tertiles and two groups basedon the mean NT-proBNP value, demonstrated in the univariate analysis of the data anassociation between NT-proBNP and pneumonia (95% CI = 1,070 – 1,250); however, inthe multivariate analysis, the association was not confirmed. Here, NPPB is linked to infection.
