CCL7 and Hepatic fibrosis: Notably, it inhibited the expression of both CCL2 (Figure 5, C and D) and CCL7, also known as monocyte chemotactic protein 3 (MCP3) (Figure 5E and Supplemental Figure 5B), which are upregulated in active HSC and cause a local inflammatory reaction during liver fibrosis (14) (Supplemental Figure 6A).
