Transiently low ALP levels are often observed in conditions such as hypothyroidism, Cushing's disease, bisphosphonate therapy, renal osteodystrophy, milk‐alkali syndrome, vitamin D intoxication, Wilson's disease, hypomagnesemia, zinc deficiency, vitamin C deficiency, celiac disease, and pernicious anemia. This evidence concerns the gene ALPP and familial primary hypomagnesemia.
