When we matched patients by clinicopathologic variables, including Gleason score, PSA, tumor stage and nodal status, we determined that PTGES3 overexpression was associated with significantly worse metastasis-free survival (MFS) in patients who received adjuvant first-line androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) (with leuprolide or an GnRH agonist) after prostatectomy, but not in patients who did not receive adjuvant ADT after prostatectomy (Fig. 6a,b). The gene discussed is GNRH1; the disease is neoplasm.
