EGFR and triple-negative breast carcinoma: Inhibiting ADP-ribosylation factor 1 (ARF1) inhibits the activation of key survival mediators (such as ERK1/2, AKT and Src) mediated by gefitinib while enhancing apoptotic signaling pathways (such as the p38MAPK and JNK pathways) and changing the ratio of Bax/Bcl2 and the release of cyt c, improving the resistance of triple-negative breast cancer to EGFR inhibitors and enhancing the therapeutic effect of EGFR inhibitors [66].
