The larger the node, the more important is the target corresponding to the node in the PPI network.[16] A network analyzer was used to evaluate the network topology characteristics, sorted according to the degree value of nodes, and 8 core nodes were subsequently determined with a degree greater than twice the average of the PPI network.[17] As shown in Figure 4, the targets highly associated with diabetes included PPARG, STAT3, ESR1, and so on.
