Among them, we focused on the 19 most recurrently mutated genes (TP53, APC, MUC6, KRAS, FCGBP, RUNX1, ATM, BLM, FAT4, KMT2C, SMAD4, STAG2, COL6A3, LRP1B, PABPC1, PDE4DIP, RGPD3, SUZ12, and ZFHX3, given in decreasing order of mutation rate) and the manually added CRC-related gene (BRAF) (Fig. 1). This evidence concerns the gene STAG2 and colorectal carcinoma.
