While we did not see clearly distinct clusters between LMN-positive and -negative similar to the transcriptome profiles (Fig. 3B and Supplementary Fig. S3B), we found that LMN-positive tumors tend to have more heterogeneous DNA methylation than LMN-negative, suggesting that CRC samples might undergo epigenetic alterations in various genes and pathways during CRC progression and metastasis. This evidence concerns the gene LMNB1 and colorectal carcinoma.
