Since ACE2 expression is limited to the main site of infection of SARS-CoV-2, it is not surprising that uptake of the virus was absent in human iPS cells as these cells lack ACE2 (Fig. 3C and D) suggesting that the lack of ACE2 expression is one of the determinants of SARS-CoV-2 non-vulnerability in these cells.
