To identify the most critical target genes of the Hippo-YAP pathway in the tumorigenic process of hepatocellular carcinoma, we constructed 4 genomes and obtained 14 genes from their intersection(Fig. 1D and Supplementary Table S3), which included reported YAP-regulated genes such as melanoma cell adhesion molecule (MCAM), SRY-box transcription factor 9 (SOX9), and connective tissue growth factor (CTGF). The gene discussed is CCN2; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
