Many studies (Qiao et al., 2014; Dong et al., 2017; Liu et al., 2018; Chen et al., 2022; Loosen et al., 2022; Xu et al., 2022) have shown that GP73 is closely related to liver fibrosis and cirrhosis in chronic liver diseases such as chronic hepatitis B (CHB), chronic hepatitis C (CHC), non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), alcoholic liver disease (ALD) and autoimmune hepatitis (AH). This evidence concerns the gene GOLM1 and autoimmune hepatitis.
