Walnut leaf ethanolic extract ameliorated acute inflammation and arthritis in rats by increasing the levels of blood IL‐4, besides attenuating TNF‐α, NF‐κB, IL‐6, IL‐16, COX‐2, and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) amounts in blood, which resulted in reduced paw edema and arthritic development (Mobashar et al. 2022). This evidence concerns the gene IL16 and arthritic joint disease.
