GCLC and cancer: The NOP2/Sun domain family, member 2 (NSUN2) lactylation promotes its enzymatic activity to catalyze 5-methylcytosine modification on target GCLC mRNA, leading to upregulated Glutamate-Cysteine Ligase Catalytic Subunit (GCLC) expression and Glutathione (GSH) synthesis, rendering cancer cells resistant to ferroptosis.
