The rate of PPH as the primary outcome of the present study is in accordance with the CHAMPION trial by Widmer et al., who reported that carbetocin was non-inferior to oxytocin in preventing blood loss of 500 mL or more, with rates of 14.5% and 14.4%, respectively, demonstrating that carbetocin effectively prevents moderate blood loss during vaginal delivery [10]. This evidence concerns the gene OXT and pulmonary arterial hypertension.
