To investigate the regulatory effects of Porphyromonas gingivalis (P. gingivalis) infection on STING-interacting proteins and the functional consequences of STING degradation in colorectal cancer cells, we transfected pcDNA3.1-FLAG-STING into HCT116 cells and treated them with or without P. gingivalis infection for 48 h. Here, STING1 is linked to colorectal cancer.
