Periodic fever and lymphadenopathy—in addition to the increased monocyte expression of RIPK1, RIPK3, IL6, and TNF-α in the inflammatory response; elevated levels of p-STAT3; and increased sensitivity to apoptosis and necroptosis—overlapped with the features of disorders caused by the non-cleavable variants of RIPK1 (Tao et al, 2020).
