Although inhibition of the JAK1 pathway is not correlated with increased phosphorylation of STAT1, novel research reported that in patients with STAT1 GOF gene mutations, despite treatment with ruxolitinib for improvement of their chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis (CMC), patients still had an increased risk for disseminated endemic mycoses (41, 42). The gene discussed is JAK1; the disease is chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis.
