These autoantibodies have known associations with systemic autoimmune conditions: anti‐SSA/Ro60 and anti‐SSB/La are classically associated with Sjögren's syndrome and SLE; elevated anti‐SM antibodies are highly specific for SLE; anti‐SSA/Ro52 antibodies are associated with several autoimmune conditions such as rheumatic diseases, inflammatory myositis and autoimmune liver disease; and anti‐Ku antibodies are found in mixed connective tissue disease and systemic sclerosis [23, 24, 25, 26, 27].
