Once the fungal load on the organs was evaluated, the effect of infection with R. oryzae, M. circinelloides and R. pusillus on the expression of cytokines of the Th1 profile (TNF-α and IFN-γ), cytokines of the Th17 profile (IL-6, IL-1β and IL-17A), and the levels of IL-10, a cytokine that plays an important role in the modulation of the inflammatory response, were measured. Here, IL10 is linked to infection.
