The association between ultra-processed food and NT-proBNP was attenuated and no longer significant after adjusting for clinical covariates including hypertension status, diabetes status, and eGFR (Model 3, OR: 1.26, 95% CI: 0.98, 1.61), though the trend across quartiles remained significant (p-trend = 0.03, q-value = 0.21) (Figure 1).
