There were no correlation between disease duration, levels of ESR and CRP, and the occurrence of arthritis or arthralgia of TMJ [(p = 0.289), (p = 0.978), and (p = 0.635), respectively], and between the disease duration, ESR and CRP levels, and occurrence of myofascial pain [(p = 0.596), (p = 0.289), and (p = 0.484), respectively]. Here, CRP is linked to arthritic joint disease.
