ANXA5 and colorectal carcinoma: In HCT-116 colorectal carcinoma cells (Figure 7A–C,G), 9 induced a modest but statistically significant increase in the population of cells with phosphatidylserine (PS) externalization and preserved membrane integrity (Figure 7B,G) (Annexin V+/PI+: 9.2% vs. control; p < 0.05), whereas treatment with 12 resulted in a strong increase in the double-positive fraction (Figure 7C,G) (Annexin V+/PI+ 71.5%), indicating advanced membrane permeabilization and loss of membrane asymmetry.
