CCR2 and hematocrit: These changes were associated with early myocardial fibrosis and diastolic dysfunction, likely due to the contribution of high blood pressure, as similar findings were present in the L-NAME-only group at 5 weeks, in which HT was accompanied by increased proinflammatory CCR2+MHCII+ macrophages, myocardial fibrosis, and diastolic dysfunction.
