AKT1 and lung carcinoma: Antogneli [20] demonstrated that OLE can mediate the upregulation of mitochondrial glyoxalase 2 (mGlo2) through superoxide dismutase 2 (SOD2)-mediated superoxide anion (O2-·) and AKT signaling pathways, namely by inducing apoptosis in lung cancer cells via the superoxide dismutase 2/superoxide anion/protein kinase B/mitochondrial glyoxalase 2 (SOD2/O2-·/AKT/mGlo2) pathway.
