GPT and Hepatic steatosis: Secondary outcomes included a mean ALT decrease of 9.0 U/L (95% CI, –11.6 to –6.4; p < 0.0001), a reduction in hepatic steatosis (mean difference 1.0; 95% CI, –1.2 to –0.8; p < 0.0001), and a decrease in NAFLD activity score by 2.5 points (95% CI, –3.5 to –1.5; p < 0.0001), with accompanying improvements in insulin resistance and waist circumference.
