Amuc_1434, whose role has been mainly studied in colorectal cancer cells, upregulated p53, the key protein of the cell cycle, and apoptosis processes and played a role as a trigger of the death receptor pathway and mitochondrial apoptosis by upregulating tumor-necrosis-factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL), indicating activation of the TRAIL-mediated apoptosis pathway. Here, TNFSF10 is linked to colorectal cancer.
