Four of these genes were reported for leukemias (IRS1  [69], RUNX2  [70], CCDC50  [71] and ROBO3  [72]) and four others were reported to be involved in other types of cancers (NSG1  [73], CAMK1D  [74], CD3E  [75], KLF8  [76]). The gene discussed is KLF8; the disease is leukemia.
