The AML cell line MOLM14 and chronic myeloid leukemia cell line K562, which express FLT3-ITD and BCR::ABL1, respectively, exhibit growth inhibition, increased p27Kip1 expression, and enhanced apoptosis upon the knockdown of ID1. Mechanistically, the transcriptional target of FLT3-ITD tyrosine kinase on ID1 may depend on PI3K/AKt or JAK-STAT signaling cascades [22]. The gene discussed is FLT3; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
