Recent studies have identified autoantibodies against fibroblast growth factor receptor 3 (FGFR3) as a potential biomarker for sensory neuropathies particularly affecting the dorsal root ganglia (DRG), such as sensory neuronopathy (SNN) and small fiber neuropathy (SFN) (3–5). This evidence concerns the gene FGFR3 and sensory peripheral neuropathy.
