In a study of two patients with highly relapsed and refractory MG, one of whom had positive antibodies to the acetylcholine receptor (AchR) and the other antibodies to muscle-specific tyrosine kinase (MUSK), CAR T cells targeting the B cell maturation antigen (BCMA) were used and resulted in sustained clinical improvement over 18 months [5].
