Dysregulation of angiogenic factors, including VEGF and angiopoietin-2 (Ang-2), has been implicated in the pathogenesis of AS.[21] Impaired angiogenic signaling compromises endometrial vascularization and hinders tissue healing, promoting the persistence of IUAs.[22] Collectively, dysregulated inflammation, aberrant coagulation, and impaired angiogenesis contribute to the pathogenesis of AS, culminating in the formation of IUAs and subsequent infertility (Table 1).
