CEACAM1 and Hyperinsulinemia: Interestingly, reduced insulin clearance controlled by nitric oxide46 and is associated with lower hepatic carcinoembryonic antigen‐related cell adhesion molecule 1 (CEACAM1) levels, responsible for insulin receptor internalization, and declining human circulating CEACAM1 levels parallel the progression of insulin resistance, hyperinsulinemia, increased BMI and hepatic steatosis.47
