Cox regression analysis demonstrated that HBV status, when considered alongside other significant prognostic factors, such as vascular invasion, sex, chemotherapy, AFP, PDW, lymph node invasion, HBsAg status, tumor size, number, and differentiation, is a predictive marker for OS and RFS (hazard ratio [HR] = 1.95, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.31–2.89, P = 0.001; Table S1; HR = 1.69, 95% CI: 1.05–2.71, P = 0.029; Table 4).
