In the KEGG pathways, pathways involved in digestion were upregulated by ABO in CD, such as fatty acid degradation, pyruvate metabolism, fat digestion and absorption, and mineral absorption, while osteoclast differentiation, phagosome, ribosome, cytokine-cytokine receptor interaction, and inflammatory bowel disease were downregulated (Figure 8C). This evidence concerns the gene ABO and inflammatory bowel disease.
