Figure 1 (A and E) shows thatMALAT1 and TUG1 levels were higher inpatients with < 5 years of diagnosis of T1DM compared to the control andlong-term diabetes groups [MALAT1: 1.23 (0.90-1.410)vs. 0.89 (0.81-1.06) vs. 0.92 (0.68-1.04),P = 0.008; TUG1: 1.42 (1.07-1.61) vs. 0.83(0.56-1.11) vs. 0.84 (0.72-1.06), P = 0.001, respectively).MEG3 expression was higher in < 5 years of diagnosisgroup compared to the control group [0.62 (0.17-1.54) vs. 0.23(0.170-0.360), P = 0.048] but not with long-term diabetes group (P = 0.121)(Figure 1B). Here, TUG1 is linked to diabetes mellitus.
