Although prior genome-wide siRNA screens, such as that by Rother et al. (41), included numerous phosphatases—including PTP1B (PTPN1), PPP2CA, PPP1CA, PTPN2, and PTPRJ—none were highlighted as key hits in the published analysis, leaving their potential roles in Chlamydia infection largely unexplored. Here, PTPRJ is linked to chlamydia infectious disease.
