USP30 and cancer: Inhibition of mitophagy through elevated Parkin levels exacerbates hypertension‐induced dysfunction of the cerebrovascular endothelial barrier.[13] In contrast, other studies have demonstrated that elevated mitophagy can promote ferroptosis and compromise endothelial barrier integrity.[14, 15] Inhibition of USP30 has shown therapeutic potential in mitochondrial disorders, particularly in neurodegenerative diseases and cancers.[12, 16, 17, 18, 19] However, its role in endothelial inflammation and barrier function remains unexplored.
