DICER1 and thyroiditis: Ultimately, the cytomorphologic features of DICER1-mutated thyroid lesions, as elucidated by Darbinyan et al. (85), demonstrate a predominant follicular growth pattern with moderately cellular microfollicular arrangements, highlighting the potential utility of FNA cytology in identifying and characterising these distinct neoplasms, which may aid in the early detection and management of DICER1-associated thyroid pathologies.
