AR and metastatic prostate carcinoma: A Swedish study evaluating 11,382 men demonstrated that the incorporation of an androgen receptor pathway inhibitor into the treatment of metastatic prostate cancer doubled the 10-year life expectancy from 9 to 18%.(26) It has been more than seven years since RCTs demonstrated that doublet therapy with androgen deprivation therapy and androgen receptor pathway inhibitors increased the OS of metastatic prostate cancer by up to 17 months.(27- 30)
