In order to decipher the role of IFNγ in our co‐culture‐based model system, we measured IFNγ (using Enzyme‐linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA)) secretion after 24‐h co‐culture of melanoma cells and NK‐cells (Fig. 3A; approach 1) and performed cytotoxicity assays of NK‐naïve (control) melanoma cells and NK‐exposed (co‐cultured) melanoma cells using fresh primary NK‐cells (Fig. 3A; approach 2). The gene discussed is IFNG; the disease is melanoma.
