In a dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis model mice, LBP (intragastrica (i.g.), 200 mg/kg) could suppress the expression of the M1 macrophage marker nitric oxide synthase 2 (NOS2) while promoting the expression of the M2 marker arginase 1 (Arg-1). This evidence concerns the gene ARG1 and colitis.
