Survival rates of lung cancer have been increased due to systematic therapy, with the combination of programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1)/programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) antibodies with platinum-doublet chemotherapy as the current standard of care for first-line treatment of advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) without a known targetable mutation, regardless of PD-L1 score. This evidence concerns the gene PDCD1 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
