A panel of seven phages that use LPS as a co-receptor for infection [selected from the BASEL (Bas) collection (Maffei et al., 2021)] were tested for their ability to infect CFT073 wild-type and mutant derivatives at both 20 °C and 37 °C, as well as a K-12 control (not shown). This evidence concerns the gene SPRR2A and infection.
