Multiple cohort studies using multiple‐omics have suggested potential biomarkers to identify at‐risk steatohepatitis, such as a combination of four proteins (ADAMTSL2, AKR1B10, CFHR4, and TREM2) from a logistic regression model.[81] To explore the clinical relevance of cGAS/ALDH2 signaling in MASLD, we first analyzed a publicly available transcriptome dataset (GSE126848) that included patients with varying degrees of MASLD and healthy controls. The gene discussed is CFHR4; the disease is metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
