AFP and adenocarcinoma: Murakami et al. [5], who identified 29 patients with GACED, defined GACED as a tubular, papillary, or full-grown adenocarcinoma that comprised cells resembling the fetal gastrointestinal epithelium with pale cytoplasm and positive for AFP, Glypican-3, or SALL4, which are expressed on the fetal gastrointestinal epithelium.
