In an Ang II‐induced ApoE−/− mouse aneurysm model, administration of a neutralizing apoptosis inhibitor of macrophage (AIM)/CD5L antibody reduced aneurysm progression, decreased M1 macrophage proportion, and alleviated inflammation, yet its upstream/downstream signaling mechanisms were not delineated, and PI3K/Akt/NF‐κB pathway involvement was not assessed.19 This evidence concerns the gene CD5L and aneurysm.
