Among traditional tumor markers, CEA (3.28 vs. 2.24 ng/mL; P < 0.01), CA125 (14.7 vs. 11.7 U/mL; P = 0.001), and CA724 (2.03 vs. 1.66 U/mL; P = 0.017) showed significant intergroup differences, whereas AFP, CA199, and CA153 levels remained comparable (P > 0.05). This evidence concerns the gene CEACAM5 and neoplasm.
