There were 230 differentially expressed genes that were strongly and significantly up‐ or down‐regulated in hypertension (FDR q < 0.05, |fold change| > 2) (Figure 2b) including SIK1, (salt‐inducible kinase 1), which is involved in various processes like cell cycle regulation, metabolism, and tumor suppression (highlighted in orange). This evidence concerns the gene SIK1 and hypertensive disorder.
